The Indianapolis Star is reporting that even the right wingers are backing away from Representative John "Isn't he really from Kentucky?" Hostettler. Seems John (or as we like to call him around here, "The crazy congressman from Evansville") is all a-twiddle over a Ten Commandments display that has to be taken off public property.
PRINCETON, Ind. - U.S. Rep. John Hostettler's attempt to defy a federal order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from a southern Indiana courthouse lawn has bewildered even those who want the monument to stay.

Gibson County officials have distanced themselves from Hostettler, saying there was never any intent to defy the federal court order, which could prompt U.S. marshals to descend on the city to remove it instead.

Nothing makes a religious extremist foam at the mouth like enforcing the separation of church and state. This is the same idiot who told a group of high school students that the second amendment gave them a right to have nuclear arms if they chose. And, yes, he did get detained in '04 for trying to carry a loaded handgun onto a domestic flight. Wait till he starts telling you how Jesus was born to Smith and Wesson in a town called Winchester.
