Pssst. Did you hear about the Republican Senator from Idaho? He's the latest casualty in the Foley fallout. Was he sending "naughty e-mails?" No. Acting inappropriately with pages? Nope.
As this message is posted, I have apppeared on the Ed Schultz Show, a nationally syndicated radio program broadcast in more than 100 cities and on Sirius Satellite. On the show I have called on Senator Larry Craig to end his years of hypocrisy by leveling with Idahoans about who he really is. I am also calling upon several prominent Idaho social conservative leaders to ask them how they square their anti-gay positions with their support for this leader.
I have done extensive research into this case, including trips to the Pacific Northwest to meet with men who have say they have physical relations with the Senator. I have also met with a man here in Washington, D.C., who says the same -- and that these incidents occurred in the bathrooms of Union Station. None of these men know each other, or knew that I was talking to others. They all reported similar personal characteristics about the Senator, which lead me to believe, beyond any doubt, that their stories are valid.
So what do you think readers? Should Craig be a target? He has a 0% scoring record with HRC on LGBT issues. He voted in favor of the federal marriage amendment. He voted no to protecting LGBT folks from workplace discrimination. He wasn't in favor of expanding hate crimes laws to cover sexual orientation. He's married and has a 100% voting record with the Christian Coalition.
If this outing trend continues (and it usually goes through three or four targets before running its course for another little while), you have to wonder who the next target will be... I keep advocating that the sniveling little right-wing lap dog state senator who inherited all of his money from his "daddy" (no real relation, of course!) should be one of the first to be shown the door of the closet. He's not the only closet case on both sides of the Hoosier aisle though. Anyone else want to start naming names? Better have your evidence handy though...
