Surely, we've all heard about the ad that the Republican Party ran in Tennessee against Democratic challenger Harold Ford. The ad used race-baiting techniques by showing a white woman implying that she and Harold had a thing. The ad closes with her speaking into her hand and saying, "Harold, call me."

BlogActive has produced this parody ad about Republican chairman Ken Mehlman. Mehlman, a closeted gay man, is one of the main forces behind all the vitriolic homophobia oozing from Republican pores.

Don't get me wrong, personally I think Ford is a creep too. He's not exactly a friend to our community either... (In fact, most Stonewall Democrat members didn't attend this year's Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner - a statewide conference of Indiana Democrats - because Ford was the featured speaker. I believe they also lodged a complaint with the party over his selection.) Sadly, as far as the gay community goes this is a case of bad vs evil. Neither candidate is a winner for the Tennessee LGBT community...
