The Indiana constitutional amendment to outlaw same-sex marriage has been assigned to a state senate committee (Judiciary) and will be heard on January 31st at 9am.

It is vitally important that you show up to this hearing and demand your rights as a full citizen of the state of Indiana!

This is the second stage of a long process to get the amendment in front of voters in 2008 - the presidential election year. (And if you bring out the fundamentalists to vote in favor of the amendment, they'll probably also vote for the Republican candidates - isn't that convenient?)

Our lives, our children, our civil rights are being trampled by a bunch of conservative hypocrites. We cannot allow this to happen!

Indiana Action Network (IAN) will soon be announcing an action alert about this meeting. This will be your chance to demonstrate your feelings about being treated like a second-class citizen. Be sure to check back for more info!
