It's likely that Senator Hershman will bring up SJR7 for second reading in the Indiana Senate this afternoon (Thursday 2/08). If approved it will be eligible for third reading which I understand would likely happen next week. Live sessions of the Indiana House and Senate are now available on streaming video at this site. Sessions can be viewed later from the site's archives, although it isn't clear to be how far back this goes. We'll try to keep you advised on viewing information for SJR7 and other matters of interest to the LGBT community.

This reading wil be anti-climactic, at ebst, Bil. This is a long haul. Let's pace ourselves.

We need to be writing and calling House members NOW. It'll be over there in a week or so, and, I'm told, in the Judiciary Committee. Eric Miller's numbnuts are already gearing up for that, and they have an e-mail list of 400,000.

(He he..I'm on it, too...the are many GLBT and Democratic friends)

The House will be interesting. The Senate is not. 35-15 at best.
