The Corydon Democrat printed an editorial against SJR-7 this week, shortly after it died in committee. Ah, the joys of being a weekly publication, eh? The site is a little hard to navigate, but drop about most of the way down the page to the Editorials section. It's called, "Marriage ban treats others as inferior, unequal".

It's been 232 years since we fought for our freedom; 142 years since Lincoln abolished slavery; 87 years since women could legally vote; 62 years since World War II ended; and 27 years since the end of the Civil Rights Movement.

Yet, we still can't fully give everyone equal rights, and people still view others as unequal and inferior. If we can't continue to fight to keep our freedoms and equality, then we are only setting ourselves back. America has come a long way, but we still have a long way to go.

This is Gov. Frank O'Bannon -- now Judy's -- newspaper.

Add it to the list for next year/ next round.

The comment from "WOW!" above is exactly correct.

O'Bannon Publishing also produces the Clarion News next door in Crawford County. Although we missed this detail this year, we ought to put it into our notes for next.
