It's all about the sex, now isn't it?

The mayor of Fort Lauderdale thinks that there's a huge problem with sex in public restrooms down there. From 365gay:

Naugle wants the city to buy a portable bathroom called a 'robo-john' and have it placed on the beach at Sebastian Street an area popular with gay sunbathers.

The 'robo-john' allows occupants to stay inside for only a short time before the door opens.

Talk about your overkill. This would probably affect more people who just need a little extra time in the stall than those who are having sex in them (especially since the local police are saying that there isn't any evidence of sex actually happening in the stalls). And at a quarter of a million dollars, these toilets seem like more of a manifestation of someone's paranoia than a solution to a perceived problem.

But what makes this really interesting to me is that it's being tagged as a plan to stop gay sex in bathrooms, but all the stalls do is open a door. It assumes that sex is occurring in the stalls quietly enough for no one to notice or say anything, and the intended effect for when the doors pop open is for the others in the bathroom to notice it, call the police, or fuck someone up. That's quite a fantasy going on there for Mr. Mayor! So since these stalls just make what's somewhat private even less so, all the mayor's plan will do is expose more people to the hot gay sex that only the mayor knows about.

So when Naugle says:

They're engaging in sex, anonymous sex, illegal sex,

I have to wonder which one of those three he's actually worried about.

I want more hot anonymous sex is the bathroom. Apparently I need to go to Florida.

Pfft. For all we know this is a "backroom deal" with the robo-terlet manufacturer.

I say, if it's built, we get a group together and bandy through Fort Lauderdale dressed as George Michael, complete with lining up outside public restrooms.

I don't condone sex in public restrooms --- but this is so funny, I had to laugh!

If they install the robo-john, then maybe we can revive the Accu-Jack ... so that the sex in the stall can be completed before the timer trips!

Remember guys ... batteries not included!

What's most important is that nothing stands in the way of anal-oral-penile freedoms.
