I have to admit that I've never seen the CBS drama Cold Case, but a little bird tells me that this Sunday's episode, a repeat from earlier in the season, is a 'must-see.' Having heard that it's one of "the most powerful, pro-gay hours ever on network TV," it seems like a 'must' for your weekend television viewing schedule.
According to the CBS site, the Cold Case team investigates the murder of a cop who is suspected to have been gay. And, to boot, the episode apparently features a star turn by a former TV heart throb.
Cold Case, the web site says, is "a drama about Lilly Rush (Kathryn Morris), a dedicated female detective in the Philadelphia homicide squad, who finds her niche when she's assigned to "cold cases"--crimes that have never been solved. Previously, she used her instinctive understanding of the criminal mind on current murders. Now, she's interrogating witnesses whose lives and circumstances have since changed, making use of today's new science and finding fresh clues to solve cases that were previously unsolvable--all of which appeals to this smart, driven detective."
And apparently, Lilly runs into some steamy scenes on Sunday. (You can see photos from the episode online here.)
So tune in - or set your TiVO - on Sunday. The "Forever Blue" episode of Cold Case airs at 9pm EST this weekend.
