Allan Melvin 1923-2008
Mr. Melvin was also known as Sam the Butcher on The Brady Bunch. All of the folks that made my childhood great are slowly passing on. *sigh* I hope he has as many smiles and laughs in the afterlife as he gave me in this one. "We'll try again next week," Magilla.

We were watching A Very Brady Christmas on Christmas day and when we noticed that they had an imposter play Sam, I assumed that he had died back when they filmed it. I guess Anne B. Davis didn't want him hogging her limelight and now he's gone. Too sad.

Suzanne Pleshette has died too. I used to love her on the Bob Newhart Show

I think Suzanne's husband, Tom Poston, died recently too. He played George the Handyman on the second Newhart show.
