Tonight it's activist, writer, and Transgender American Veterans Association President Monica Helms. We'll be talking politics, issues, and getting some insight on the issues faced by Transgender-Americans who have served this country.

Also, Marti Abernathey joins us for her segment!

Update: Download the show file in mp3 here!

Among the issues we'll be taking on tonight:

There's a war taking place all over the blogs between different factions of the gender-variant community over issues like bathroom access, definitions, labels, and more. Who's right? Who's wrong? Is there a right or wrong at all? We'll hash it all out tonight!

The disconnect between the gay and lesbian and transgender communities: Is it growing wider? Katrina Rose seems to think so. Not only will I tell you what I think, I'll tell you a story illustrating my perspective which happened just today, and you'll be able to call in and express your view at 928-257-3171!

Be sure to tune in's gonna be a hot one!

Just one comment
I know i am not the only one that feels this way.
why do we have to have Hyphenated Americans.
I thought we all were Americans first?

Take care

i find it really sad that we have been over the bathroom issue 150 times and it is not about the bathroom

But you will say what you want.
regardless of how many times we say it is not about privileged or about anybody being better then anybody else.

You will say that anyway.
Marti shouldn't call people men when we are talking about biological women and intersex females.
Give it a rest.

Monica is such an amazing advocate for both veterans and the transgender community. Thank you for including her on your show, and thank you, Monica, for your powerful voice speaking on behalf of those who have been too often silenced . . . and for too long.

I agree Steve. I've wanted to have Monica on for a while now, and she was terrific. I look forward to next time we can tackle these issues. They definitely need more attention in our media.

Good show by the way.
