If you are having trouble with Safari crashing when you visit The Bilerico Project, the issue is due to a problem with your Flash plugin and a recent Quicktime update.
You can fix the crashes (which are probably happening with other website too) by downgrading your version of Flash. The version of Flash known to be causing problems is the most recent - Flash 9.115. The version you want to install is Flash 9.47.
This is a known issue after the recent Quicktime 7.4.1 update. Detailed instructions on how to remove your old Flash and install the previous version are after the jump.
First, you'll need to download the appropriate version of Flash. Here are links to each:
PowerPC Mac Intel Mac
Next, you'll need to remove the current plugins from your Internet Plugins folder. Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plugins (I'm using the default name of the boot drive, if you renamed your boot drive, adjust appropriately)
From the Internet Plugins folder, delete anything with the name Flash in the filename.
Now, run the installer you downloaded and install Flash.
When done, be sure to restart.
That's it. Hopefully Apple or Adobe will fix this problem soon. In the meantime, there is very little difference between Flash 9.47 and 9.115, so it shouldn't be much of an issue to stick with the old version until there is a fix.
