It's been a busy week for Indiana's 7th district Congressional race. Here are the highlights:

  • Democrat Woody Myers has loaned his campaign $550k of his own money. Candidates David Orentlicher and Andre Carson are both doing well in the fundraising department and will now be allowed to raise even more cash after Myers triggered the "Millionaires' Amendment."
  • David Orentlicher unveiled today his plan to keep Americans working and get our economy back on the right path. He called for greater investments in technology, education and workforce development.
  • Blue Indiana diarist Vox Populi reports a push poll that claims: "Some say David Orentlicher is too liberal. He supports abortion, wrote an article promoting human cloning, and supports the homosexual agenda." Carson "has little political experience and has never faced a serious competitor. He's a typical politician and brought Washington, D.C. insiders to Indiana to run his campaign. Most of his financial support comes from out of state lobbyists and special interests." With "homosexual agenda" in there, I'm thinking Carolene Mays funded it.

Retired Congressman Andy Jacobs Jr introduced our new Democratic Congressman André Carson at the Anti-Iraq-War Rally downtown on Monument Circle today. As usual, Congressman André Carson spoke out forcefully against this expensive and immoral war. Interestingly, none of his 7 challengers in the Primary made an appearance...

Meanwhile, teams of Carson Volunteers were out in neighborhoods registering voters and distributing campaign material door-to-door.
