Looking for some fun under the sun served with a big dose of Pride? Come on down to the Stonewall Street Festival- Pride of Greater Fort Lauderdale, June 16 - 22, 2008!

The theme of the Stonewall Street Festival 2008 is Sizzling with Pride! It is a full week's worth of events, parties, food and entertainment ... and the First Annual Night Parade!

And you know me- give me a reason to dress up, especially if I get to wear lights and sparkly things, and I'm there!

The week culminates with two big events:

Start the celebration off at Rosie's Bar & Grill with a special t-dance starting at 5pm. At 7pm, as twilight approaches, the sounds of DJ Joe Bermudez will envelope Wilton Drive from the VIP Rainbow Lounge on the Main stage in front of the parade route; building the excitement and energy for Stonewall Street Festival's first night parade at 8:00pm. The crowd will be thrilled by the vibrant lit floats sponsored by the businesses and organizations in support of the GLBTQ community.

After the parade ends at 9:30pm singing sensation Tammy Wright will perform her hit 'Passion' and premier her new single 'Joleen,' by Dolly Parton. People will continue to dance in the street to DJ Joe Bermudez until the nights festivities end at 12 midnight ... and get your rest because the Mimosas & Bloody Marys will start to flow early Sunday!

Over 28,000 people come out to celebrate the diversity of South Florida in Wilton Manors on the famous Wilton Drive from 16th Street to Five Points. Businesses and organizations are represented on the drive to meet with the community to expand both knowledge and relationships. Food, drink, and ample entertainment will be offered all day with the spectacular climax of famed international recording artist Crystal Waters performing on the main stage at 2pm. This is a day of fun and friends that can't be missed. The street fair starts at 10:00am and ends at 5:00pm.

Get out your rainbow boas and beach gear! Our South Florida Pride gets bigger and better every year, so come on down to sunny Florida and show your PRIDE!

Happy Pride South Florida!

I am so excited about the night parade!!! It is going to be fun!!

Every year Pride starts with a parade here in Indy.

Every year it rains. During the parade. LOL

Well... Actually last year PFLAG got smart and bought a bunch of parkas since it rains every year. It was sunny and 90 degrees all day last year.

Why didn't you tell me you were a raver?

Happy Pride, Waymon!

Milwaukee PrideFest was this past weekend; three days of music and celebration at our great festival park on the lakefront. Wanda Sykes headlined Friday night's fun, with Natasha Bedingfield making a wet appearance Saturday (it poured for hours - over four inches of rain!). Sunday saw the Indigo Girls putting on a terrific set in spite of another torrential rainstorm. There were over 150 acts performing across the weekend, and the rain stopped long enough for the Pride Parade yesterday afternoon. A great weekend, in spite of the weather.

Here's hoping your Pride festivities are fabulous!
