NBJC ACTION Fund Endorses Keisha Waites for Georgia State Assembly (GA-61).

Georgia resident Keisha Waites seeks to be first African American openly gay woman legislator in the state. On Tuesday, August 5, 2008 the residents of Georgia's 61st Assembly District will have the chance to vote and stand up for change when they elect Keisha Waites as their next State Representative.

Keisha has dedicated her life to public service as both a community organizer and as an employee of the federal government. Working for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Department of Homeland Security's (FEMA), she has gained hands on experience critical to tackling issues that are challenges for the residents of the 61st State House District in Georgia.
