On Thursday, September 4th at 12 noon, Equality is Gainesville's Business and a coalition of leaders in Gainesville's faith, African American, and university communities will hold a Press Conference in support of Gainesville's civil rights protections. These persons stand united in opposition to the proposed charter amendment that would remove existing protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity and prohibit Gainesville from ever adding protections not included in the Florida Civil Rights Act.

Please come out and show your support for this effort!
