Jerame told me this morning that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade was going to get Rickrolled after he saw it on the blogs. I was cleaning house in anticipation of his kin arriving for the Turkey Day feast, when I heard Rick Astley start singing. Since I paused the DVR to show it to him, I thought I'd show it to you too!

I was talking about this with friends yesterday, and I was surprised that none of them had heard of the Rickroll'd phenom. Not as much fun when you have to explain the joke.

How funny. Jerame turned to me last night when I scheduled this as today's YGST post and says, "You know, I like meta humor as much as anyone, but - what? - maybe 15% of the audience got the joke?"

I assured him it would be more than that and then the first comment is about how someone didn't get the joke. LOL Now that is funny.

I got Rickroll'd with the Muppet's clip. I laughed so hard I was crying. Beaker even looks a little like Rick Astley looks in the original video.

Oh, that is just brilliant! What I liked best about it is that Rick Astley has a sense of humour about it and actually rickroll'd the parade in person.
