Oh, wait. These are picture pages, but not those kind of picture pages...

Bilerico-meetup.jpgNow that I've kinda-sorta woken up from a maddening weekend chock full of bloggery goodness and the concluding car ride/chat fest with Alex and Jerame, I'm wandering around the queerosphere and noticing all the pics other contributors and attendees posted and what they've got to say. Since I'm a hopeless mooch, I'm going to crib some of their best photos and quips after the jump.

Pass the coffee, please. Cream. No sugar.

Contributor Father Tony's spectacular picture from the Bilerico Project DC meetup. I love how he captured so many people in the same shot while avoiding the crowd. Click to embiggen it nicely.

About half of our folks cut out early to go next door to a bar (Sara Whitman was our Pied Piper leading Waymon and other Projectors to the alcohol.), while snow flurries and a changed schedule that only allowed for one hour instead of two kept others from making the walk there and back. We had around 50 Projectors show up - including a photographer from the Washington Blade.

Father Tony, Waymon Hudson, Zamná Avila, and me having a few drinks at Town on Saturday night. I don't think I've been to a dance club for at least 5 or 6 years. I had a blast.

Of course, this was part of the reason why the dance club was so exciting. BuffaWhat? blogger Nathan Strang got half naked and showed me his tattoo and piercing. Watching him and Eric Leven dance was almost pornographic. Father Tony, Jerame, and I, of course, watched intently. *grins*

I have to thank Father Tony and Eric Leven for giving Jerame and I one of the best stories we'll tell close friends for the rest of our lives. We ran into a Catholic priest and a bear cub in a gay bar bathroom in DC once... It already sounds like a great tale, eh?

Friday night's opening reception group photo. It was incredible as I ran around recognizing everyone and finally seeing so many people in the flesh for the first time. Rev Irene Monroe literally squealed with excitement as she ran into some of the contributors. I just wore my big cheesy grin all night.

One last note to en/Gender's Helen Boyd... She writes:

I also met my roommate (more about her lovely self at another time) and the organizer of the initiative, as well as James from, who was very very cold (since he's from FL), Alex Blaze of Bilerico.

& I met Pam Spaulding briefly when I hung up her jacket for her. (It's a glamorous life.)

Dear Helen, you were one of the coolest people I met this weekend and I wish we'd had more time to talk. Let's try to get together soon, and I'll gladly hang up your jacket when you arrive. It'd be an honor. -Bil

The conference was chock-full of political conversations, blog geekery, activist strategy and networking. I loved it. Kudos to Mike Rogers for pulling all of it together.

Joe has a great slideshow of photos you shouldn't miss. Pam had the run-down on the second day of the conference too.

See everyone at Creating Change in Denver!

It was great meeting you and the rest of the Bilerico contingent this past weekend. Have a great Holiday Season and I hope our paths cross again sometime soon.

It was a pleasure to meet you too, Michael.

I fear that this is a trend that I must get half naked whenever I come to a new club. Sort of like a dog rolling around in freshcut grass. It was a delight exposing my nipple hair to you all.

I'd like to thank you guys for showing me a good time and a new look into the LGBTBBQ blogosphere. You guys rock!

Nate, you can show me anything you'd like. You were the hottest guy at the conference - and smart too! I'd bring you home and marry you any day of the week. :)

Hey, nobody looks like their Contributor headshot! What gives?
