Invalidate Prop 8

I don't know how anyone can look at the divorce video by Courage Campaign and say "I'm not political." The video which has been viewed nearly 100,000 times puts a face to the 18,000 married same-sex couples in California facing forcible divorce after the passage of Prop 8. The message to the California Supreme Court as it considers whether or not to invalidate Prop 8 is simple and clear: "Don't divorce us."

As much as the marriage movement is about love, commitment and equality, Courage Campaign is about effective action to create progressive change. Courage Campaign, a MoveOn styled organization focused on California, is not a "gay" group, but is stepping up to play a major role in restoring marriage to same-sex couples in California.

After the jump is an incredible speech by Cleve Jones delivered at the kickoff Camp Courage, an innovative new organizing training sponsored by Courage Campaign, laying out how we win full LGBT equality.

Cleve is best known for working Harvey Milk and as the founder of the AIDS Memorial Quilt.

Thanks for posting these Michael, especially the Cleve Jones video. FWIW, I believe he's famous for working with/for Harvey Milk. :p

I can't get over how ironic it is that Kenneth Starr is behind all this. Well, not ironic, so much as... appropriate. Does that man have anything else to do besides obsess over other people's sex lives?
