Andy at Towleroad reminds us that today is the day when gay and lesbian couples will be able to marry in Iowa.

This is a great day for Iowa and for the nation.

Seven DC residents including myself participated in the LGBT Power Summit over the weekend to strengthen our skills as activists to win marriage equality. I'll have more details on that soon.

Today let's lift a glass to toast the state of Iowa and to renew our commit to marriage equality across the country.
