Anyone else on the edge of their seat? In a half hour, a decision from the Supreme Court of California will be announced.

Will there be violence, regardless of the ruling? How will this change the tenor of the Supreme Court nomination discussion? Will Obama finally come out and say something other than one man one woman bullshit?

Why is this so hard for people to embrace? Packing my kids lunches this morning, all I could think was, the only way I'm a menace to society is if I keep being pushed down.

I'm tired of being pushed down. I have no desire to be violent or to see violent demonstrations. but I'm also not sure how much more of this I am willing to take. and I'm old, have children, and a moral responsibility to them to be a good citizen, role model.

I won't teach them to roll over, though.

I doubt the gays will be violent. We weren't when prop 8 passed last year, so there's no reason to think we will be now.

The rightwing, should they lose this case, probably will be. They believe that violence is the solution to pretty much any problem out there, so I wouldn't be surprised if one of those militia types or UCC church shooter types takes it upon himself to enforce "biblical law" on homosexuality that those darn activist judges in california can't seem to understand.

And the Hannity/Limbaugh crowd will be egging those sorts on. I fully expect violence from the right should prop 8 be overturned.

6-1 vote to uphold.

I want to know who dissented.

It's back to ballot box, I guess.
