Congratulations to Russell Brown, the new Lawrence Township Trustee. Russell replaces Mike Hobbs an openly gay politician who was forced to resign the position after pleading guilty to stealing $500 from the Township fire department to pay his rent.

Russell is a longtime friend - he used our front porch as a backdrop for his campaign literature when he ran against longtime Republican State Senator Jim Merritt. (We live in the district.) While he lost that election by a narrow margin, he's stayed involved in party politics.

The people of Lawrence couldn't ask for better representation or leadership in the Trustee's office. Russell is incredibly thorough and dedicated.

Congratulations to Russell and the people of Lawrence Township.
