Love the quote, and so true! While it can be easy for us of their parents' generation to feel jealousy towards having self-knowledge AND liberation during adolescence, we should take pride and comfort in knowing that our examples in "normalizing" queerness for those parents has paved the way for early Outness. This is yet another reason why it is vitally important for all LGBT people to be honest and open with everyone in their lives; so, the lives of the next generation can be shaped by affirmation and love, not rejection and scorn.
