Louisiana is not generally considered a liberal state, and its Senators are considered quite conservative. However, one of those Senators, Mary Landrieu, is more likely than the other, David Vitter, to vote for ENDA, making Louisiana a very important state for ENDA.
We need 60 visible votes, or close to it, or the leadership won't even bring it to the floor.
Please call Senator Landrieu. Her vote is very, very important to ENDA.
Contact info and more after the jump.
She is among the most conservative Democrats in the Senate, but she cosponsored a previous bill with sexual orientation and gender identity and she voted for hate crimes.
Please call Senator Landrieu's office and ask if her office can confirm her support for S1584. You may get a staffer who is unaware of the Senator's position on ENDA. Take a moment to explain what it is, and to ask if he or she can get some information on the Senator's position. Tell us what they said in the comments below.

I am returning from Madrid tonight, after what was hopefully a successful address to the International Bar Association regarding US law on transgender people in the workplace. However, I'm still unable to work the twitter machine today, so would you send this around to your friends? You can use the handy-dandy "Share" buttons at the bottom of this post page.
