Indiana Democratic Party chair Dan Parker's staff put out this press release today. I've translated it below if you're having difficulty parsing it...

Indiana Democratic Party Chair Dan Parker on Baron Hill's Decision to Seek Re-Election
Applauds dedication and public service to Hoosiers

I speak for my fellow Hoosier Democrats in thanking and acknowledging U. S. Congressman Baron Hill in representing Indiana's 9th Congressional District.

Baron Hill has been faithfully serving our State and Nation and fighting for Hoosier values and ideals. He is a tremendous leader and courageous advocate for fiscal discipline, creating jobs, and reforming health care.

Hoosier Democrats look forward to vigorously helping Baron Hill in his re-election efforts for U.S. Congress this fall in Indiana's 9th District.

Translation: "Thanks for not f--king up Ellsworth's coronation. Who needs to give Hoosiers a choice? Partisan politics was too hard for Bayh, but railroading his fellow Democrats into choosing his handpicked (and extremely conservative and polarizing) successor isn't."

I agree!!! He is a terrible choice. And we are being left with no one else. I was so hoping Vi Simpson would run.
