As the Face of Bilerico while Bil is out and about, I'm contractually obligated to put up a certain number of "fun" posts. I'm not much fun in general, but I'm managing it as best I can. But this one did make me smile. Doesn't say much for my sense of humor, I know, but what can I say?
TMZ is reporting that Carrie Prejean has been sued by a public relations firm, A. Larry Ross Communications, that specializes in "Christian-focused" media relations.
According to TMZ, the firm alleges that she hasn't paid for their services. We're not talking about $9.95 here. It's a biiiiiig number.
I thought religious people were supposed to be honest people? Silly me.
According to TMZ, Miss Prejean engaged the firm, which then spent hundreds of hours working for her, helping her to spread her "Biblically correct message."
A. Larry Ross Communications (ALRC) is a full-service media and public relations agency founded in 1994 to "restore faith in media," provide "value-added P.R. that defines values" and give Christian messages relevance and meaning in mainstream media.
ALRC assists Christian-focused organizations, associations, ministries and churches in telling their stories through the Christian and secular media in the context of traditional news values.
For almost 15 years, ALRC has remained the nation's most-respected firm in Christian-focused communications. The Agency operates at the intersection of faith and culture, specializing in crossover communications projects and processes emanating from or targeted to the Christian market - both Protestant and Catholic.
Prejean racked up over $64,000 in bills, which she hasn't paid.
It's also interesting to see what Anne Rice, the vampire-novel queen, whom the firm is also handling, has to say about her new-found religious faith, and how earthquakes are a sign of Armageddon.
