Projectors, been a while since I posted one of my infamous song rewrites here.

It was originally triggered by an idea from Ethan St. Pierre and Bet Power, and I quickly came up with the remixed lyrics for it.
No Trannies bathroom.jpgThe last one is set up so our transmen can sing along as well.

It reflects mine and the rest of the trans community's disgust at the 'bathroom issue' repeatedly being used as a wedge to either cut us out of civil rights law, ENDA, or scuttle the bill completely

You know, that's so 20th century..

So fire up the iPod's and sing along with Moni's fresh new lyrics

Fight For Our Right To Potty

Sung to the tune of the Beastie Boys: (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)

Kick it!

Trans people need to pee but we don't wanna go
Needs to be gender neutral but Barney says, "No!"
We need ENDA passed so we can go to work
Right wing preachers hatin' on the bill like ignorant jerks

bathroom sign.jpgWe gotta fight for our right to potty

Bathrooms based on presentation need to happen yesterday
GOP hypocrites are saying "No way!"
Facing trans discrimination can be so sad
Coming from so called allies makes you fighting mad (Busted!)

We gotta fight for our right to potty

Don't like that I transitioned? Why should you care?
Don't need to know what genitalia that I have down there
I've got to pee so bump that noise.
I'm not going to (I will) use a bathroom with cisgender boys!

We gotta fight for our right to potty
We gotta fight for our right to potty

Monica, you just have to do more of these, they're great!

There's no law in this state about what gender you need to be to access a restroom. (Although you can get busted for "disorderly conduct.")

The other option is "Handicapped Access" -- and there's no law about what constitutes access for that either. Yeah, sure, it's not a "disability," but do you need to use a rest-room? And how pragmatic are you willing to be?

... Except that the pesky Helms Amendment in the Americans with Disabilities Act gives them any excuse they want to exclude us.
