Well, that sent me to Google. Fascinating. I often wonder how literalists deal with OT roots.

But, but, but... Allah is a moon god created by the devil to lead Christians astray! That's why almost everyone in America is Muslim.

I've always thought it'd be Dumuzi, not Ningishzidda. Then again, it's been a while since I was a teenager interested in the Mesopotamian roots of the present-day religions...

Anyway, this hit the nail in the head. It's a bit surprising how hard it is for people to figure out that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are three different covenants with the same God -- while they have no problem understanding that one can choose from different service plans with the same mobile phone operator. :)
