Jerame leaves for Washington DC in a few hours. We're hopeful that we've found a place to live and he'll be able to sign a lease in his first couple of jerbilkiss.jpgdays in town. I'll be flying to DC at the beginning of September for a bit but the rest of month will be spent packing up Rancho Bilerico so we can be fully moved by the end of the September.

Even though we've been together for almost 13 years and travel constantly together and separate, the next couple of weeks will be the longest we've been apart since we started dating. It'll be odd (and quiet!). The friend who's renting our house will be moving in over the next week though, so I'll have plenty of company.

Anyhow, you know I'm not overly personal on the site usually but I wanted to put up this public declaration. I'm very proud of you, Jerame. I can't wait to see you again in DC when we start the next chapter of our lives. Your theme song for tomorrow is after the jump, love. Sing it in your head all day long. Everyone's gonna love you.

Love you guys.

Aww. You guys are too cute. Best of luck with the new gig, Jerame. DC will never be the same.

I've never commented but have read Bilerico for a while now. Congratulations. It's nice to have more fellow Hoosiers in DC. Terre Haute and ISU wish you luck!

Bil and Jerame,

My best to the both of you. Though we've only met once at Pride last year, I have shared "My Personal Story" for your site. I started my career in Washington, D.C. and thoroughly enjoyed the Capitol and the social scene throughout the area. It is much different, in a good way, than Indianapolis. These are the times that will change the history of the world and you both will be part of it. How exciting!
Come back often and keep us informed. The legislative process and the judicial system are much different on the national level. So are the peolple who influence them. Enjoy the journey.

Enjoy your new life in DC.

Congratulations! I hope you Jeramie and your daughter find fantastic new challenges and opportunities in DC. As hard as it sometimes is to consider leaving what is familiar you will not regret this I am sure. It will be different. There will be different ground rules and obstacles so good luck at the game and bring home "Best in Class."

My love to the two of you. I personally hate moving with a passion, but when you are heading to a new chapter in your life, it becomes not as bad. I'll look you up when I get back to DC. Take care.

Thanks gang. He's on his way. Now we just have to hear about the apartment. If it comes through, then today will be a damn good day. Keep your fingers crossed for us on that one!

Awww. That brought tears to my eyes! I am so happy for both of you, but we will miss you in Indiana! :)

Bil- Love the picture and I think it is okay to get personal a bit here. We all have lives and some have loves and it is good to show the world- expecially those who care about you. Those of us in Indy will miss having you here but we all wish the best to you both!!

Welcome to DC! Hit me up if you want a tour of the gay bits of town:)
