Monday could be the beginning of the end for "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

The House has already passed a bill that would repeal this discriminatory policy that prevents openly gay, lesbian and bisexual members of the military from serving. But this week, repeal_dadt_200.gifSenate Majority Leader Harry Reid will bring the bill to the floor of the Senate.

We must take action now to ensure our Senators stand for equality and repeal DADT when it comes up for a vote. We've partnered with CREDO Mobile to give Projectors the opportunity to easily fax your Senators today and tell them that you support all troops serving openly, with honesty and integrity.

It doesn't cost you anything to send the fax, you put in your name and address and the message you want to send and we'll send the fax to your Senators; you don't even have to know who they are! CREDO set a goal of sending 500 faxes to the Senate from Projectors, but I think we can easily double that.

Help us meet our goal and tell the Senate to repeal DADT. Send your fax now.

Frist! Sorry - wrong blog.

Ugh. Faxes, emails and calls, oh my. So, "500 faxes" is the magic number? or maybe 1,000?

Wouldn't it be better if we sent them all to one Senator. I would suggest Democrat Jim Webb. +500 faxes might really impress him. He'd be thinking "Wow, hundreds of faxes and I have only 5 million voters in Virginia." Yeah, that will really help him change his mind/vote.

Even Lieberman knows it's filibustered with the phony DADT "compromise repeal" attached. We still don't have those "60 votes."

The Defense Authorization Act won't even be voted on until after the mid-term elections and the DADT Amendment would have to survive until then. Reid is not allowing Republicans the chance to make any amendments and that means we lose. Maybe Reid wants to lose.
