halloween pugs

Thought I'd spread a little puggish holiday cuteness and use this opportunity to tell readers (and editors and colleagues!) just how much I love you guys, and how very deeply honored I feel that I get to share my love of queer history (not to mention my strange sense of humor) with you. For me the best part of being on Bilerico is the reader comments that my photos elicit: from those of who you correct me (I hate getting it wrong but love finding out what's right), to those who praise me (more! MORE!, I mean "my humble thanks, I am not worthy"), and especially to those of who you bring context and emotion to my random finds by sharing your memories, your research, and filling in all those missing pieces in the true history of LGBT life.

Have a fun weekend, everyone, and please don't party too hardy. We need you strong and rested for next week's madcap photo adventures.
