Gioia Bruno, one-third of the Italian 80's girl group Exposé, went into solo dance music after her success with the pop band, sang with the rock band Wet, and opened a performing arts academy. She also came out of the closet after the height of the band's success, telling AfterEllen that as an Italian Catholic woman who "always loved men," coming to terms with her sexuality took time.

This is the best song I know of with Gioia, "Slave" from her time with Wet.

Here's one of her solo singles, "Your Love is Lifting Me Higher."

Here's the song that you might remember from Exposé: "Seasons Change." Gioia isn't on lead, and I'd say she's the one with the big 80's hair, but....

The recording's not that good, but this is one of the songs she sang lead on with Exposé, although a few years after it was a hit, "Tell me why."
