My best friend is spending the holiday weekend with us but right before I moved out of Indianapolis he made me a mixtape to take to DC with me. I thought that since it'd been a while since I've done a Songs for Sunday post, that would make a great playlist to share.

What were the last few songs that ran through your music player? Share the list with us in the comments section - or tell us about some new tunes you're digging.

About two weeks ago I picked up Judas Priest-Metalology, A four cd box set of classic Priest. A nice dose of 80's metal. Looking through the book, and seeing some of the Rob Halford pics, how did we not know he was gay?

Also going back to the 80's. I recently acquired The Repo Man & Valley Girl Soundtracks. The Repo Man ST has 12 great punk songs (including a Spanish Secret Agent & The Circle Jerks doing lounge music). The Valley Girl ST is more New Wave & Pop, but still very cool (The Plimsouls & Josie Cotton!!!).

A more recent favorite of mine is City & Colour-Bring Me Your Love. This cd is amazingly wonderful.
