Big Freedia is the only musician up for a GLAAD Media Award this year that I haven't already posted about on the site. She makes bounce music, which sounds a lot like crunk to me. Since separating her music from its context doesn't make sense, here's a segment from Carson Daly in which Big Freedia explains bounce.
