Indy Star Weighs In on Marriage Amendment

"It's important to note that the choice facing Hoosiers isn't between their moral convictions and their economic interests. Again, gay marriage is not legal in Indiana, nor is it on the verge of becoming so. The choice is over whether to pick an unnecessary fight or to stand firm on existing law.

The legislature has chosen the fight, one that could leave all of us who call Indiana home as losers."

-- The Indianapolis Star lead editorial earlier this week. Almost every major newspaper in the state has editorialized against the marriage discrimination amendment.
