IN Rep Turner: Abortion and Gay Marriage

What is it about Indiana recently? Ever since I moved away, the state has become a hotbed of LGBT and progressive news stories as the Republicans stray further and further into Teabagger territory and the Democrats move down to take the Republican positions on traditional working class issues.

A video appeared yesterday of state representative Eric Turner claiming that Hoosier women will fabricate incest or rape allegations so they can have a late-term abortion. Democrat legislator Linda Lawson, who was a sex crimes investigator previously, rips Turner a new asshole in response.

What else is Turner famous for? He was the main sponsor of the newly passed marriage discrimination amendment. So, the man who touts limited government, wants to dive into Hoosier relationships and bodies. The sheer hypocrisy and stupidity is staggering.

It will probably get worse. They will endure protests in the capital. They don't live there. Only when their own districts become full of unrest will they begin to moderate.

I understand. We moved from Ohio to Maryland 3 years ago. It is amazing the crap that is going on there too.

Undoubtedly the most outrageous thing said in the Indiana legislature thus far this year. In spades.

And as you know, that is one hell of a barrier to break.
