The Today Show reported on the story of 14 year olds Halyee Fentress and Paige Moravetz in rural Minnesota who killed themselves last week in what might have been a suicide pact. Relatives discuss whether bullying might have driving them to hang themselves during a sleep-over. The girls were apparently inseparable and loved each other. Meredith Vieira raises the suggestion that they felt more for each other than just a friendship and were "confused" by those feelings, which one of the relative confirms.

Another tragedy ... another unbelievable, totally unnecessary tragedy ...

Our young people have a right to be who they are, and to know they are OK being who they are. And to be supported to have the courage to be who they are. We need to keep putting this message out, again and again ...

Halyee and Paige, there are people who care. There are people who want to help you get through such difficult years. But we fail every time we don't get to you in time.

This is heartbreaking. Just heartbreaking. I thought the Japanese tsunami finally numbed me to tragedies with casualties under two digits, but this just broke my heart and made me cry.

Some things, leave me...a very mouthy verbose person, just...speechless.
