All of our months of hard work have paid off and we're finally happy with the look and feel of the Bilerico facelift. The site might be offline for a short time later this evening as we rebuild Bilerico with all the new bells and whistles.

We'll be turning off readers' ability to comment on posts tonight at 10pm Eastern. When the new design comes up, bilerico_sept.jpgwe'll turn comments back on. Projectors will then have the ability to sign in with their Facebook login or with a Bilerico account. This will save us the time of moderating comments before they publish; readers can flag offending comments to have an editorial team member check them out.

Plus, when we come back online we'll also have a contest to win a few "birthday" gifts from Lady Gaga.

I can't wait for y'all to see the new site. I know you'll love it as much as we do. We've got a history together tho, this site and I.

We want to know your opinion on this issue! While arguing about an opinion or idea is encouraged, personal attacks will not be tolerated. Please be respectful of others.

The editorial team will delete a comment that is off-topic, abusive, exceptionally incoherent, includes a slur or is soliciting and/or advertising. Repeated violations of the policy will result in revocation of your user account. Please keep in mind that this is our online home; ill-mannered house guests will be shown the door.

Looking forward to it.

I know how much work went into this and how long you've been trying to make it happen, and I'm glad you are finally there.

I am very curious about Bilerico's privacy policy.

What information exactly are all these bilerico cookies gathering on my computer? Who gets this info? Will the site work if the "no cookies" feature is enabled?

The new site design is AWESOME! I'm sad to see the "Friends" blog list gone (for my own self-promoting reasons). You folks have done an amazing job and should be patted on the back for your long standing dedication not only to this site redesign, but to keeping the LGBTI community informed on ALL matters that impact us.

Because of this steadfast commitment to quality... I am making a $15 donation to Bilerico (it's the most I can give right now) and I encourage all the regular readers (who can) to do the same.

We (the faithful Bilericoians) love you (you=founders, editors, contributers and guest posters)!

PS, please don't blow the money on arcade games and malteds :)
