Holly Elle is a classically trained singer from Canada, but recently she's plunged into pop music in the United States, making her home base in Nashville, Tenn. Earlier this month she released a new song and accompanying video called "Freak." She describes it as her personal response to the large number of suicides by teenagers in the past year, saying, "I knew that this was a message that needed to be heard, and that the song could be a vessel though which real awareness, and therefore change, could occur."

Here's an earlier song by Holly Elle, "Make You Move."

Better tell Bil another musician is commercializing it gets better.

You'll notice I didn't post it, Deena. :)

Is Queer Music Fridays going to be a regular feature? If so, may I offer up Jimmie Eat World - My Best Theory as a suggestion for a future article?

It's been a regular feature since the day we launched, Red. :)
