It's been a good run, but we've decided to shut down our state-level Bilerico sites in favor of expanding and improving the Bilerico Project. We haven't had the time to develop and manage these smaller satellite sites like we should and the traffic and design reflect the neglect.
We'll be re-launching the main site within the next two weeks with an all new design and vibe that will continue our commitment to highlighting the work on LGBT issues done around the country. The content of the state sites will be absorbed into the archives of Bilerico Project.
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to provide local LGBT news and opinion. We look forward to seeing you in the conversations on Bilerico Project. You're not losing a blog, you're gaining a whole family of contributors covering all aspects of the LGBT community!
If you're subscribed to the Bilerico-Florida mailing list:
If you're already subscribed to the main Bilerico Project Daily Digest mailing list, you don't have to do anything! If you aren't getting the Daily Digest, we will send you an email with an invitation to subscribe. You do not have to accept (although we'd love it if you did!) and we will not e-mail you about it again.
If you're subscribed to the Bilerico-Florida RSS feed:
We will be redirecting the state site RSS feeds to the main Bilerico Project feed starting on May 4. On May 22, this feed will be disabled entirely and readers will need to migrate over to the correct Bilerico Project RSS feed to read the latest articles.
Let's Stay Social!
The state site Facebook pages and Twitter accounts have been turned off already, so be sure to like Bilerico Project on Facebook and follow the main Twitter account to be notified of the newest posts and be eligible for special contests.
