Voguing to Madonna ... at the Age of Nine.

RobertJeffreyVideo.jpgWhy does this video make me clap and giggle? Because when Robert Jeffrey was nine years old in 1991, he knew he was a performer. Because when his parents visited a New Hampshire casino that featured a "make your own music video" attraction, he only paused long enough to decide which Madonna song to perform.

And because that damn kid nailed every move and every lyric.

Robert now describes himself as a 29-year-old screenwriter living in Boston. As a man who grew up lip-syncing to Gwen Verdon in my living room for the entertainment of my patient mother, I salute you, sir!

Help. I can't stop watching this. I've found my gay soul sister.

I wish this kid had been in show choir with me in '91!

I love this kid. He made me want to respect gay pride again.

OMG! ... I mean ... Oh. ... My. ... God. ... !!!

Robert Jeffrey was amazing in his performance of Vogue @ nine years-old! This was a wonderful performance. I hope his parents were extremely proud of him when this was done and now for his writing.
I watched this video and it made me smile. Such a talent at such a young age. Marvelous!!!

This made me smile all day- some of it because I was guilty of the same thing.
But for me, it was Diana Ross....

Well, I tried to not reply, cause who wants to be a buzz kill here? But here goes: I find the sexualization of children to be distressing. I suppose I should be grateful that for once it's not a little girl shaking her ass to an adult song and trying to leer in an adult fashion for the camera.
