Check out this interesting video contrasting the rightwing nutjob rhetoric about Muslims versus reality. It reminds me of the bland PSAs the gay rights groups used to make about how we're just like any other American.

The campaign wants people to sign their pledge to "affirm our country's principles of liberty and justice for all."

I can see the similarities between this video and "the bland PSAs the gay rights groups used to make" since the "with the rarest of exceptions, Muslims are good people" theme is so apparent, but this video is unusually well executed, I would say. But in addition to emotional appeals, we also need to put out there that Muslims have a First Amendment right just like everyone else -- and we need to do it fast, before that right itself becomes uncertain.
