A Crash Course in Gay History

How did I miss this crash course in gay history? After California passed the FAIR Education Act mandating that LGBT history be taught in schools, the religious right erupted into spasms of batshittery. Stephen Colbert teaches us everything we need to know about our tribe's past.

Who knew Paul Lynde was the founder of the modern gay rights movement?

Actually, the line I liked best was, "Marketing begins at conception."

P.S. And knowing school kids, I expect they did indeed learn more gay culture from Paul Lynde in the center square of "Hollywood Squares" than they might in Gay History 101 class.

Put something into a classroom textbook and it is immediately boring.
