New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's advocacy for marriage equality in New York earlier this summer has already paid off with enormous support from the gay and lesbian community. But soon, his work could translate into serious bucks from gay and lesbian donors.

Ben Smith from Politico reports that Jon Stryker and Jonathan Lewis are hosting a fundraiser ($12,500 per head) for Cuomo. Stryker and Lewis are two of the biggest names in gay fundraising. Stryker is the heir to the Stryker Corp. and ranked on Forbes list of billionaires last year. Smith cites Lewis as the son of Peter Lewis, a huge donor for the Democratic party.
