Obama Coming to LA for Two Fundraisers on Sept 26

The Hollywood Reporter writes that President Obama is coming to Los Angeles on Sept. 26th for two invitation-only reelection fundraisers Obama campaign floatgeared to different income levels. The first is scheduled for 4:30 pm at the House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. It's $250 for one person - while $10,000 will get you a photo with the president.

Later Obama will "network with the heavy hitters" at Fig & Olive restaurant on Melrose Place. That's $17,900 for a single, $35,000 per couple with the main attraction being a Q&A with the president.

THR reports that the entertainment industry contributed about $40 million to the Democrats in 2008. The trade publication also reported that a "recent analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics reported that the entertainment industry contributed $2.53 million of the $39 million Obama collected during the first half of 2011. Employees at CAA gave $111,900, while DreamWorks SKG contributed $107,400. Sony came in with $95,900 and Disney employees gave $84,600."
