If there wasn't a picture, you'd never believe it. George W Bush stopped by VIDA, DC's gay gym, for a mid-morning work out today.

As with his photo-op presidency, now W can claim he's down with gays and blacks. Someone alert Kanye West and John Aravosis.

well, I can't believe his staff would allow him to be genuinely lost in DC. At the same time, I don't believe much of anything he says/does.

I generally think of it as the expensive gym. I wonder if he spent anytime in the sauna. Probably would get an eye-full.

As the President of VIDA Fitness, I beleive that you're trying to make a connection where one doesn't exist. VIDA Fitness has four locations. Two of those locations are in predominately gay neighborhoods and therefore have primarily (perhaps 60%) a gay clientete. The other two locations (including VIDA Renaissance) do not. Membership demographics at those locations reflect the neighborhoods in which they are located. Gay-friendly? Absolutely. A gay gym? You're just plain wrong.

My question is what was his cost for a day pass? Was it his first time? Was he subjected to the usual tour, sales pitch for personal training? Did the secret service posse have to pay too?
Did he have a protein shake after?

Thanks for the clarification on the VIDA location, David. I appreciate the extra info.
