An 18 year old man has been arrested for the murder of Stuart Walker, Stuart-Walker-001.jpgthe Scottish gay man who was brutally killed last weekend. Walker was sexually assaulted, beaten severely, and then set on fire. Details are scarce though on why the man has been singled out as the alleged perpetrator.

Strathclyde Police confirmed the man was taken into custody on Thursday evening, less than a week after Mr Walker's body was discovered at an industrial estate in Cumnock, Ayrshire.

A police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that an 18-year-old man is currently detained in connection with this inquiry."

Some LGBT blogs reported yesterday that Walker was being investigated for exposing himself to a 12 year old boy. The police today said that the accuser is an adult male with a long criminal history; they say the case had no validity and was being dismissed.
