More news about Stuart Walker, the gay Scottish man who's mutilated body was found over the weekend in the town of Cumnock. Stuart-Walker-001.jpgPolice now say that there's a good chance Walker was sexually assaulted before being set on fire and beaten to death.

While police speculated that Walker may have been attacked because of his sexuality, they now say it is the "main focus" of their investigation and it's highly likely he knew his killer.

As Walker's body was found partially undressed, Thomson said a sexual element to the crime had not been ruled out.
It was revealed that Walker - a former assistant manager at the Royal Hotel in Cumnock - had almost certainly known those who killed him.

Thomson said: "I don't think it was a random attack by someone who will strike again. I suspect Stuart may have known this individual or met this individual shortly before his death."

I'm not a forensics expert and I don't play one on TV, but it seems to me that this is a crime of passion and not just an everyday attack. There was a lot of twisted rage in this assault for the victim to have "horrible injuries" that includes being severely beaten, set on fire, and sexually assaulted.

Horrifying – and, sadly, so typical in the hideous brutality and viciousness. Thanks for posting!

Sadly, brutal hate crimes are not unique to America!

Just a heads up: the guy was apparently investigated for child indecency the previous week. Not saying he was guilty- there's no shame in being accused of a crime you're innocent of. I just thought you people should know before this gets thrown around on Twitter.
