KathyWolfeLoRes-779x1024.jpgIn an article posted today on The Huffington Post, pioneering LGBT film distributor Kathy Wolfe (founder and CEO of Wolfe Video) reflects back on her early days of gay and lesbian film distribution in the mid '80s and savors the impact of her work on the lives of LGBT people across the globe.

Flashing forward to the current challenges on the film distribution landscape she simultaneously illustrates in detail the grave situation of online piracy and asks for the support of LGBT movie lovers (who need to financially support indie filmmakers by compensating them for their work).

Though my team and I are consistently amazed with the speed at which our world has evolved, we have been disheartened to witness the rapid rise of online piracy. Not only has piracy negatively affected our bottom line, but more significantly, it has undermined the careers of many talented aspiring filmmakers.
