The story of recently outed Arizona Sheriff and Republican Congressional candidate Paul Babeu just gets better and better.

In this report by ABC15 in Phoenix, new allegations arise concerning Babeu's tenure as head master and executive director of the DeSisto School in Massachusetts, a boarding school for troubled teens. The report focuses on abusive punishments used on students, and Babeu's live-in relationship with a 17 year old male student.

Punishments at the school included what is called "cornering," where students were forced to sit facing a wall, feet flat on the floor for up to 14 hours a day.

Students were also forced to wear nothing but a sheet, were strip-searched by other students, and forced to take group showers that sometimes lead to sexual abuse.

None of the allegations of physical abuse in the video are said specifically to have been carried out by Babeu, just that they were allowed to continue under his watch.

The one charge, however, that did focused specifically on the sheriff was his sexual relationship with one his the students. While the boy was 17, the age of consent in Massachusetts, it still does not play well for a student/teacher relationship, especially one running for a conservative congressional seat.

There has been much debate within the community about whether a conservative gay candidate like Babeu deserves our backing. Babeu's stance on immigration is enough for me to take a firm stance as no, but hopefully this will help you make up your mind. Check out the video after the jump.
