Nothing says "the love of Christ" like discriminating against minority groups and loving couples. This letter from Maryland Cardinal O'Brien was MarylandLetter.jpegsent to all of the state's Catholic churches in an effort to gather signatures to put the new marriage equality law up for a vote. Clickety to embiggen the letter so you can read how parishioners can "trust in God's love to reconcile us to one another and our neighbors" after they work to deny us our civil rights. How Christian of them. You can do the most horrid things as long as you ask for forgiveness afterward. Bah.

So what else is on today's radar? It's a long list today so let's get started.
